What is Herpes? Five Warning Signs
Herpes is a virus. It can be spread by having vaginal, oral or anal sex with a person who has the herpes simplex virus, otherwise known as HSV. There are two types of HSV – HSV-2 (genital herpes) and HSV-1 (oral herpes like cold sores and fever blisters).
Women are more likely to get it from an infected partner. However, many people have herpes and never even see the signs of their genital herpes. Some people, on the other hand, will see the symptoms of herpes within a few weeks of their infection. Some sores will appear 4 – 7 days after the infection and show up as a rash of red bumps which will then turn into blisters. If you see these symptoms, you should go to see a doctor. Let the doctor determaine if it’s Genital herpes or not.

If you are starting to feel any of the warning signs of genital herpes, your outbreak has already started actively reproducing itself in your body. You can stop the outbreak by taking prescription medications if you catch it in time. You will need to take the prescription medication right away at the first sign of an outbreak to stop it.
